If you plan to keep this skimmer for 15 years you might want to check into replacement part costs. Also BK skimmers are moving to a DC power pump soon so replacement pumps may be hard to find for that skimmer in 10+ years.

You might want to ask the guys at premium aquatics for some feed back since they have used both skimmers side-by-side.

IAM REALLLLY HAPPY WITH MY BK300 in my 280 gln total water volume.They are built like tanks.Does this looks like i have any regrets : .Get the bk300 for about $100 more that is what i did.If i think iam overskimming i will just not run the skimmer all day but that is not the case so far.They are super quiet can you hear right now j/k, oh and no mods happy reefing
