can i have any clams in a 10g with 80watt Pcs both bulbs 10k no actinics? i rly like the clams but dont have the money to buy Mh lighting. the 10g is a normal AGA 10g

Unfortunatly I don't recommend any. Have you looked into t5 lighting.

i havent realy seen any 20" T-5 lights. i was getting the Pcs because im getting a deal on a current sunpaq fixture.

if you replace the bulbs every 6 months i think you could do it, but i really wouldn't. trying to keep clams in a 10g is going to require testing and adding supplements daily if not twice daily and topping up water religiously.

I have a 10g w/ a derasa in the bottom and the pc lighting fixture you're talking about. I have had it for atleast a month now... and going strong.
I set the tank up maybe 5 months ago so it is a new setup, HOWEVER, I got the rock, sand, even the water and some corals from my Display tank so it was established from the get go.

I do agree w/ mbbuna, if it's not established, hold off on clams...trust us
