hi, i am about to set up a 29g tank. can a 29g house any species of anemones? the reason why i want one is because when i get clownfish, they can host with it and feel more at home. i think i'll be able to keep an anemone alive with 150w 14000k MH fixture right?

You need to wait about 6 months for your tank to become established, and for you to become experienced before adding an anemone.

A 29 is a bit small, it can be done. I don't recommend it unless you have experience with anemones. Your water quality can go down hill pretty fast in smaller tanks. You also won't have room for much of anything else when the anemone grows. If you plan to keep corals, the anemone will sting them.

I've had a leather coral (some type of sarcophyton) that my pair of tomato clowns hosted, along with xenia and it looked fantastic.

I'm really hoping that my clowns take a liking to my pulsing Xenia when they are introduced into my main tank. However, they've been noted hosting Frogspawn and Hammer corals as well as several other types of LPS and soft coral.

Be familiar with your coral before the clowns start hosting it though, as sometimes the hosting behavior of the clowns will stress a coral and eventually lead to its death.
