hey guys!
question first... then background afterwards for you impatient ones!

Which brand of frozen mysis shrimp is best to use for Md sized Kuda seahorses?
- San Fransisco bay brand
- Hikari
- PE Mysis (piscine energetics)

I had 2 kuda hippocampus a few months ago. Unfortunately i had to packup and leave to move across the country so I dont have them anymore...:( However the good news is that I will be setting up a tank again to get a couple more! While I had my old one's, I found that they were extremely picky to each individual piece of food. I was feeding primarily frozen mysis shrimp at the time with occasional live ghost shrimp and occasional frozen brine shrimp.

Let me know!!!
thanks..

i first did all the good stuff. bought high end frozen foods and soaked everything. now i only feed hikari mysis and thats it! last four months thats what i feed once a day no supplaments at all. they are healthy and happy so ill stick with hikari brand cubes of mysis.

Fredfish...
I've been asking around about PE mysis alot. Most peeps are saying that it's top notch and really worth the extra bucks. Apparently you can see the phytoplankton gutload on these guys! Would you agree? How long you been using them?
Sorry bout all the questions. I'm just eager to get some seahorses back and I want to spoil them!
Thanks.....
Any other testamonies?

I have been using PE mysis for a couple of years now. I have no idea on their gut contents.

I do know that the first time I thawed some for feeding I was amazed to see that there was vitually no liquid. Very different than frozen brine and many other frozen foods.

I understand from others that the fat content of these mysis is high compared to the normal seahorse diet, hence the use of it and Hikari.

It is worth every penny.

we use the PE sh love it. They are bigger then any of the rest. Also they are a fresh water shrimp so there is no extra salt that the sh's need to try and get rid of. I was driving 2 hours to get PE from Inland in Terra Haute , lfs finaly got it in so I stocked up
