I think that lighting would work pretty well for most any clam. Some, like the croceas and maximas, you might want to put up in the tank, but a 75 isnt that deep, so a 250 w MH should penetrate quite well.

i looked back, it was just barley over a year ago you got your first clam, a 'Wild Sun Crocea' and was asking for information on it yet shortly after that you became an expert in clams. with that said, I stand by my previous comment that you have very little experience with keeping clams especially long term.

there are times when opinions expressed are made on what one has read and not what they have experienced first hand and it's obvious by their expression. it'd be like a 16 yr old telling which over the road truck was the better ride, it's hard to make a legitimate suggestion with no personal experience to base that on.
