Which closed loop external pump?

I have a 75gal tank AGA with megaflow, i recently drilled the back for 5 1" bulkheads. I will be using an OM Super Squirt on the closed loop. All plumbing will be 1", and I would like to get as close to the 2500gph max the OM device is rated for. Most of the pumps in this range have 1.5" fittings. Would something such as a Dolphin AquaSea 3600 do ok if immediately reduced from the 1.5" to 1"? The website says it is ok to do so, but i'd like to hear some other opinions as well.

I'm using a dart with a bypass to a OM SS compact. I just run the extra flow down the back of the tank and to the bottom and have it blow across the bottom.

The Sequence (Reeflo) Snapper, roughly $190, is rated at 2500 gph and only uses about 100W.

I have one on my 90g and it pushes warer out of eight 3/4" outlets. My tank is mostly Softies and LPS, but I have about 4-5 SPS in there too. If I had a SPS only tank, I would probably close off four of the eight outlets to get higher velocity water for the SPS.

How many outlets will you have open at one time with the Squirt?

The Snapper is 2" inlet and 1.5" outlet. I have a 90g build-up thread where you can see the pump and my plumbing. It might help a little to determine if the Snapper would work for you.

The SS will have 2 open ports at one time. It is all 1" plumbing.

I was just looking at the darts. They have an even larger inlet though at 2".

Thanks for the link Dan, nice tank ;) My biggest concern is having to reduce the intake to 1". But i can either do that right at the intake bulkhead or right before the pump.

I have my dart supplied by 2 1 1/2 bulkheads and then have a 2" Y with 2" to 1 1/2 reducers connected to the dart input. You have more than enough 1" bulkheads to do the same thing.

Yah thats true, although i would need to add one more 1" hole to accomplish the same thing. I need the 4 output holes.

Another problem i'm going to run into: Just how much flow can i get thru a 1" pipe?
