hey guys i just recently acquired a RBTA and would like a clown. at first i wanted a Perc but the chances are pretty slim with the anemone hosting it so i wanted a maroon but i know them to be aggressive.

what do you guys recommend for a peaceful clown to host in my RBTA? currently i have a neon goby an a Yellow watchman goby. i plan on adding one more peaceful fish and then the clown... with this method, do you think a maroon would be ok?

thanks,
marcus

how big is the tank? a maroon would be fine with those fish, not sure about the other fish what are u planning to add to the tank?

Maroons would be your best bet. There are alot of more posts on here about RBTA clownfish's, search through the pages and check em out

I have a black saddleback clown and he never took to my BTA... my maroon dove right in as soon as he was put in the tank...

thats what i thought... my tank is a 50 gallon 36 x 15 x 20. i guess im going to get a maroon. beautiful fish btw.... just scared of its aggressiveness.

I don't really think they are aggressive.. especially if they are the last fish to be added, and they are relatively small. I haven't seen a single sign of aggression since I've had mine. Of course there are no other damsels or clownfish (besides green chromis) to worry about.

My black and white ocellaris are in my rbta now. That is two pairs in a row that have found anems. I wanted a maroon but decided that they get too large and aggressive for my 55 and my rbta.

that was original plan, BW Ocellaris with the RBTA but i figured it would be a slim chance for them to host in it. i know a guy that sells them for 25 a piece and i think i should give it a try....
