1500sqft, Progress Energy. Last bill was $384.00 I have a 5 year old 10 seer 2.5 ton unit.

The AC is running all the time, If I replace the unit, I'm going to get the super high efficient Trane (17-19 seer) with the variable speed air handler. I want to make sure the investment will be worth the cost in a few years, and I don't think getting a 12-14 seer will benefit me to much...

Make sure you guys are putting square feet of air conditioned space also. I have 2200 sq ft of which 1700 is living. Last bill was 280. I use City of Leesburg. AC I believe is only 2.5 ton as I added on 300 living to the house. I'll be upgrading the AC though as I'm adding another 500 of living.

Kilawatt charge is 6.5 cents and bulk rate is 44 dollars per 1000kwh. I used almost 3K kilawatts I believe.
