Which is the faster grower? Oregon Tort or Purple Monster?

I have a 1" frag of each and would like to place the "slower grower" more rearward of the other. IME they are both painfully slow growers. In your experience which one do you think will grow slowest? Thanks.

I have only had the Oregon Tort as it seems the Purple Monster is very hard to get a hold of since it grows so slow. So for me the Oregon grows much faster!

I have both and got them about the same time. OT has been fragged many times and grows faster than PM which I hardly ever frag:artist:

I got both from this guy. Both look healthy and have grown a fraction of a millimeter since I got them. At least the color is insane!

Based on my short observation period, looks like the PM is going to be a while:worried:

I personally had great growth from the purple monster once it encrusted fully. 1/2" to an 1" a month before i lost it in a tank crash. The Oregon maybe that every 3 months till it got to about 5". I had it under a 250k radium in a 24" tank about 10" under the water and bulbs about 15" off the water it was getting a pretty good amount of flow about a foot from an mp 40 on reefcrest.

Next time I'm in town (I want to go back to FSU and talk to the student group that I ran) I'll have to check this magical tank out....

Amen! I've had a tiny frag of the PP for around 6 months and no vertical growth at all!
