Which Koralia?

Trust Me I'm an Engineer
Which Koralia model should I get in my 40 breeder mixed reef that has several other small powerheads plus about 250gph return from sump. I am interested in these because they have a wider flow pattern. I was thinking a 1 or 2, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My friend has a #3 in his 40BR and it is too much flow,, it stirs up the sand and blows it all over. I am considering 2, #2's for my 40BR but I plan on keeping some SPS.

I've got a pair of 4's on my 75g, with LPS and I think its a little too much. I would think that the 2 would give a nice flow without blowing everything around.

I might go with 1 #2 as I already have 4 small powerheads, I only have 1 sps and 8-9 polyp/mushroom/softy right now, but I plan to get more as my tank is less than 2 months old. Everything is doing great but there is some detritus building up in a few spots even with CUC so this koralia would just be to add some flow and reduce dead spots.

I've got 2 #1's in my 20H. Turns out to be about 40x turnover rate. I have to point them up in order not to blow the sand around.

I have one 3 in my 40 and it is great except it is hard to adjust. And if i dont get it right it will slowly move the sand and by the next day you can see the glass. But i am trying to get ahold of hydor to see if they cant send me a deflector since it didnt come with one and all the new ones do.

2x Koralia 4's would work very nice if you plan on keeping SPS, if youd like to keep mostly LPS and Soft stuff just use 2x Koralia 3's.

Reefer Steve- I know this has nothing to do with the pumps but did you custom make your light fixture or did you buy it. I have never seen a fixture with 8 bulbs for a 29g?

I just put a 3 in my 75G to supplement my 2 Tunze Nanos. My tank has about as much flow in it as I would want right now. I would say that 2 #3s would be about as much as I would recommend in a 75G, so I think with a couple of #2s you'd be fine in a 40G. Depends on what you wanna keep. The Koralia is TOTALLY different with a much wider flow.
I haven't found the perfect spot for it yet, and my sand is getting shifted. I'm going to move them again this week to find the right spot.

I just got one #2 for my 33L 48" tank, seems to keep everything in it's half of the tank pretty happy, any stronger and my euphyillas would take it badly, my tanks all lps/softies though. I'm planning on another for the other side.

I have a 55 and two #4's and it blows the living hell out of my sand, pardon my french. I love them to death but I just cant seem to get it to leave the sand alone no matter where I place or aim it. I contacted Hydor about this plastic thing that directs the flow and just goes on the front but they havent emailed me back and its been weeks

Hydor just came out with the Korila Nano. does 200-250 GPH. I have one in a 30L and it does a very good job at keeping the flow going. blows sand a little but in a 40 you should be fine.

I have 2 #1's in my 29gal and its perfect, I wouldnt want more. I also have a MJ900 behind the rocks and 300gph from my return.
