What type of anemone do you have? Some of the host species are from shallower, clearer waters and require brighter light as compared with others. Generally anemones are successfully kept under metal halide, T-5, power compact or VHO lighting. The last two quickly lose intensity with increased depth, so are better in shallow tanks, i.e. <18 inches. I would suggest with your fixture that you post questions to the T-5 thread regarding which bulbs are the most effective in terms of PAR.
