Which mantis do you recommend?

First off, GREAT site!! I have a 10 gallon nano ready for a mantis. In Michigan it is difficult to find a LFS that carries mantis shrimp. Its looking like my purchase is going to be on line. The two choice I have come up with is a Neogondactylus oerstedii or a Gonodactylaceus spp.. Which would you recommend. I would love to get a Smithii...if you know where I can get one please advise. Also confirm my understanding that 10 gallons is too small for a Peacock mantis. Great to see that there is a forum dedicated exclusively to mantis shrimp. Thanks for your help.

Yes a Peacock will outgrow a 10.
Your best bet is www.tapmabaysaltwater.com $50 including shipping for a N. wennera to your door. Otherwise you will have to take your chances on a "lime green mantis", what ever that gets you. Mantis really aren't identified like fish are.

I picked up an N. wennera at Pet Station on Telegraph in Dearborn Hts. I was told them get them in semi-frequently.

I'm also looking for a mantis in michigan, I live in Edwardsburg, it's by niles, which are on the border, close to south bend, mishawaka, granger, elkhart.
