Which Nano is right for me?

Hi Roger.

I upgraded my tank size to a 125G (72x18x22) and i found out that I have a few dead spots in my tank. I was wanting to get a couple of the nano Tunze to kinda push some water around, and get a good soft flow over my corals.

Even though I have had my aquarium up and running for over 3 years I don't know much about the Tunze pumps.

I see that the modes have a high flow rate:

6025-660 Gal/Hr
6045-1189 Gal/Hr
6055-1453 Gal/Hr.

I really don't want to blow my corals, and sand all over the place and that seams like a lot of flow, so my question is does it just kinda blow a wide pattern and not blow a narrow stream right at where it's pointed?

Also would the 6055 model be to much for a 125? I kinda want to put it on a timer or controller to make a somewhat wave action. Is this possible?

very wide the 6055 can be contolled to proved what kind of flow you like for a tank your size just to add extra flow like a closed look the 6045 or 6025s would work

The 6055 would work with our controller 7091 or 7095.

I'm in a similar boat. In my 90RR, I have an OceanFlo modded MJ900 that puts out a very nice flow but it is very big and gray. From a technical perspective, it looks cool but aestically it looks like sh*t against my black back. On the other side of the tank, I have an unmodded MJ1200 that is going to be replaced by a Nano 6025 that was ordered this week.
I ordered a 6025 because the MJ1200 was pushing things around a bit(in conjuction w/ the other PH) and it is rated at twice the flow of a MJ1200. Once the 6055's become available, I will probably replace my modded mj900.
From what I learned, these posts are helpful but you really have to experiment with different ph makes/models to really get your tank where you want it. I don't want to blow the fins off my fish and hopefully the above config will pan out for me. In the last month, I bought (2) MJ sure grip magnets($60), (1) OceanFlo Mod ($60), (1) Tunze Nano 6025($60) and I plan to buy a 6055 and controller($250)
The $$ comes out of my beer and candy fund so I don't have to hear any lip from my wife:bum:
