which pumps?

The tank is 4' x 2' x 21" 105g, 1/2" glass. It is primarily SPS, with LPS,softies on the bottom.

Would a pair of 6095's be enough, or would i need to step up to the 6105's?

They should be enough, but the 6105's might be a better choice if you plan a bigger tank soon. It is a tough call as the 6105's will work out of the box, for the 6095's you would need the 6025.501 extension magnet for your glass thickness. The SPS would benefit from the stronger 6105's but the other corals might suffer and the 6095's should be adequate for the SPS.

Thanks Roger. This tank is an upgrade, so I have no plans to go any bigger at this point. I think I will go with the 6095's.

On the Tunze website, It states that the 6095 magnet works with thickness up to. 59, but you mentioned I would need the extension magnets...is that because its so close to the maximum just to be safe?

Hmm, they may have made a technical change recently, it used to be .47mm and on 1/2" they would slip and barely hold. I would like to confirm this by calling the factory on Monday. 6095's are not likely available at the moment so I think we have time. We have not received any since Mid December and this may be why.

You are correct, I was told they ship now with magnets suitable for 1/2" and have for a few months, I am sorry I missed this.
