Which Reactors ...BRS Deluxe or TLF ?

That's a spankin clean sump. Does it stay that way or do you clean it often?

My vote goes to the MR1 SMR1 series by nextreef.

I know that wasn't an option but am sold on them.

I still thinking whether to run them off my return pump or not. I have a 120 with a Sicce 5.0 (1321gph) . This should be able to handle the tank and 2-3 reactors right ? Only 4-5ft of head pressure on it. (2x) 1" drains and (2x) 3/4" returns. Thinking about plumbing it all together. Is there any downfalls ? Water changes or some feeding modes may have return pump off. Its okay to shut off reactors for awhile I would imagine.

Could do : return pump > manifold with 2-3 lines (all with ball valves, probably just BRS valves) > ball valve for display . But is there a preference to have the lines for reactors coming out the side, or facing straight down ? Or just do it anyway it would fit better ?

I run a manifold off return pump on my 120. I installed 5 gate valves on the manifold, but don't use them all at this time, and likely never will. I went a step further and put a true union ball valve at the beginning of the manifold so I can turn the whole thing off if needed, for maintenance or modification. You can see it in the upper right of the picture below. Yes, my manifold is shut down when the pump is off, and I've not experienced any negative issues with reactors being down while the pump is off.

I have a larger pump than you because I'm also feeding a chiller off the manifold. Not an expert, but if you are just running two BRS reactors as an example, I would think the 5.0 would still be sufficient. I'm assuming both 1" drains are not running full syphon.
