Im looking for an affordable RO unit. I need maybe 60 gal. a month and live in the county with well water. Also concerned about waste. Can someone give me advice what brand to buy? Do I need a three stage or two stage? Buying water is just getting annoying. Would appreciate some advice, thank you> Debbie

http://filterdirect.com/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=29 this is what I have and have been very happy with it for over 6 years. Added a booster to my set up an another DI chamber. I am also on well water so pressure was my problem and the ratio went from 5:1 to 3:1 with the booster and prolongs the life of the membrain. If you didn't want to get a booster you can go with a permeate pump.

+1 I have been useing the same model and also had to get the booster pump. I am on well and pressure was just to low.

OK sounds like a good deal and relatively cheap. My wee brain doesnt work this early. What I plan to do is tap into the line in laundry room and use a container ( guessing big trash can plastic from walmart) and letting the waste go out with washer waste. Unless there is something you can do with the waste. Does anyone use it for swimming pools? I guess you could water the garden with it.
Where do you put the booster pump? In line to the RO? Or from the main line to house?

I have a Brute trash can with float valve that you can for a great deal. The waste water is better that the water out of your tank so you can use it for most thing in the house. My friend uses it to fill his washing machine.
