I am thinking about getting either the 1073.02 (634 GPH max) or 1073.04 (792 GPH max) for the return on a 50 gallon tank. There will be 4' of head loss.
What would the GPH be for these pumps at 4 ft?
Thanks for the explanation. The wattage used for these pumps is very low. Kind of a trade off - more flow for more energy used - or less flow for energy savings. 450 gph may be enough for the tank. There will be additional pumps in the tank itself to create flow. Have to think about it. Tank will be in my office - so I don't want there to be any noise at all from the pump - which it sounds like these pumps will meet that requirement.
I would generally agree, it is much more efficient to produce the flow in the tank and just get a return which can turn the tank at least 3 times an hour.
