Which size stream for a 90gal?

I'm sure this has been asked many times before but I can't get on the search:rolleyes: I want to get rid of all my maxi jet 1200's and just have a stream instead. Will I have enough flow say between rocks and stuff so there is no dead spots? And which one should I get? I really can't afford a controller right now but will I be able to use it without it for awhile? I'm just setting my tank up again after losing everything to the hurricanes. I just wanted to get rid of the cords in the tank from the maxi-jets. I had 5 of them.

A 6000 is the best choice. It is possible you may have some dead spots depending on rock layout but the flow will be at least as good as what you had. You can use the pump without a controller.

Thanks Rvitko;) Do you think I might need two of them? And if not would it be to much flow without the controller? I want mostly softies, some LPS, and a few hardy SPS. But would it be to much for the fish?

2 would be nice but only one is necessary. The point to having two would be to run one at a time and change up the flow direction. The flow is adjustable even without a controller. It definitely is not too much.

I just recieved some 6000 pumps today. You could order from Marine Depot, Champion Lighting or Premium Aquatics. We also have a dealer near Tampa, I don't know where you are in Florida, the shop is called Fish and Other Ichthy Stuff. Most of the dealers we have are listed under dealer adresses in the USA section of www.tunze.com.
