Ok if you had to pick between this considering a total water volume between 1500 and 2000 Gallons, thinking of performance, price, and reliability. Which one would you pick?

I voted for the BK because the ASM and Reeflo skimmers are too small for 1500+ gallons and the ER has too many pumps to maintain and replace if they break.

If I were you I would contact spazz and have him make you a custom dart skimmer that will fit your needs.

The Bubble King DeLuxe 650 internal has gotten great reviews but it is $7300.00!! The ReefFlo Orca 250 would be under powered. The EuroReef RC1000 is a proven, well-built killer at a reasonable price that needs no mods. ASM...not so much.
If it were me, I would go with the Bubble King if i could afford it and the Euro Reef otherwise.

I know the Bubble King is nice but Jeff I think you are right I don't think it would be worth almost double what I am paying for the custome tank with Starfire glass.

Thats why I didnt go with a Bubble King over the ATI, it isnt worth a few extra drops of skimmate in the cup each day or the few less watts it uses. I couldnt justify the cost myself.

I remember during the shed tour they had two good sized skimmers and one was not being used... You should make them an offer :)

Your alive....

I use a turkey baster and carefully slurp up the film on top. Then I blow bubbles in the cup with a straw from my fast food drink.... when I get a froth ... i carefully use it to make a Mr. Bubble beard and sideburns. This has worked really well for me and costs about $3 if you use the straw over and over again.

I think the one from the shed is probably a little large and the straw idea is a good one but probably a little small for the system. Who is the spazz person you talk about?
