Astraea, Margarita, or Turbo Snail?

I have astraea and margarita snails, and for some reason i think they are really slow... I know they are snails but I use to have turbo snails and they would plow through algae at a pretty fast rate.

Anybody ever try an abalone? I don't know why but there are places that sell abalone for tropical aquariums. Do they survive for long?

I have always had good luck with the mexican turbos. The only problem is some of the larger snails move and bump stuff when they're clenaing. I actually took some out of my tank and put in a friends tank because my rock looked too clean!

I add my vote to mexican turbos, but you need to watch then as they have a tendancy to flip over and will need to be flipped back or they will die. The best algae eater I have ever had though is a seahare, they are machines for eating hair algae.

i just got an abalone, havent seen much of him since i put him in the tank on friday. I guess they come out at night

Mexican Turbos are the pewp
