Which SPS doesnt grow high and can take tons of light

purple monster, oregon tort. You'll be good your 5 years or so :)

I would do a table if you have the room?.

I love tables. I have three low in the tank so they don't cast alot of shade. Maybe I'll try a tort. What about the mounding or encrusting montis? Can they handle a ton of light?

Ok, I was leaning towards a nice encrusting monti, but a couple acros would be nice too. There is alot of space there, so I will need at least 5 pieces.

I'd have to say the Oregon Tort, slowest grower in the world. It's like watching grass grow but 100x worse.

Also, it can take a really good beating on light.

Keep in mind, if you go with a Tabling Acro, or Monti Cap, as they grow, they're going to cast a shadow, shading corals beneath them.

How do I get a purple unknown?

Do a search in the classifieds here. You should be able to find out who has a colony that they might be able to frag. It is uncommon but not terribly impossible to find.

You also might try contacting Tyree through the link I gave you above. Looks like his reservation schedule is wide open for this year.
