I have an AGA Reef Ready 65 that is 36" long, 18" wide and 24" tall. I plan on having a mixed reef consisting of some hardier SPS, such as Monti caps, and some softies like leathers and Zoos and maybe a Tridacna or two on the bottom. I'd like to have a shallow sand bed (20 lbs sand max. about a 1/2" on the bottom if that) because I like the look better than BB. I currently have 3 MJs run off a natural wave timer for water movement. I'd like to trim down the number of pumps in the tank and hope one Stream can do the trick without being too much (and creating a sandstorm). I also like the night mode, feeding and variable speed options available with a single controller with upgrade and a model 6000. Please let me know which Stream option would be good for me (today's the first I heard of a Nano stream, so if that is what is recommended, I'll gladly wait for Marine Depot to get them). My plan would be to mount the Stream on the left side of the tank from the rim (or near to it with the magnet, since my Tek light legs may get in the way of the normal holder and I imagine the higher I mount it, the less likely I'll blow up sand would be) facing across the tank to the right. The SPS and current loving corals would be placed on the LR on the right side of the tank and the other corals that don't like as much current would be on the left side near the overflow. Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
