54 gallon corner bow front or A regular shaped 125 gallon aquarium.
Which would you pick if both were the same price?

IF you have the space , the extra water volume is a nice safe guard. IMO from what I have seen , both my friends with bow & corner tanks have had leak issues from poor seal even though they are brand name aquariums. Did you ever see a filled bow front or corner tank ? I find it gives it a zoom look or distortion to the main viewing window and it is not pleasant to my eye.

The standard 125 gal will not only give you a nice viewing area but you will have way more room for equipment under the tank. The corner / bow / cube have very limited and tight room under the cabinet and make equipment selection a little more difficult. I find the 125 a little short in height and I would personally jump to the 150 to get 29'' tall instead of 23'' and you will keep the original footprint for your stand ... but that's just my 2 cents

I would get a 60 or 75 gal tank. There is a decent amount of water and it is much cheaper to maintain. It is also easier to overkill on filtration :D

Honestly, if I had it all to do over again, I would have gone with a much larger tank. Ah well, newbie experience for the next tank.

I believe the 125 is a 6' tank. In a tank with that dimension you can have small tangs easily. Also for working, on a corner tank, you generally have just the back against the wall. With the corner tank, you have two sides against the wall. So there is easier access.

Finally, there is the sump. On a rectangular tank, you can access the sump from both ends and from two doors in the front. But in the corner tank, only the front.
