i been relly torn on if i should do a 75g reef or a large mangrove tank, kinda native with mullte, grouper, mabye snook if i can find swordspine, and other varous native fish, and of course mangroves. the tank etheir be 6lx3wx54h" or 6lx4wx54h" the heght with manly be air room for the mangroves to grove. two sides be glass and 2 sides be ply wood i be a little odd plywood tank. the bottom will also be plywood to better prvent roots from going through. i also have sea grass in there. what do you think that or a 75g reef tank with 80g sump 50g refuge, and 20g frag tank. it will have chalk bass, copper banned butterfly, bangaii cardials and others. what do you think which one

its all about what you want, if you just settle with one then i feel like eventually you would be sorry you didnt go with your first choice

ah hell with it...... reefer all the way!

p.s. sorry for the confusion but in my defense there was a beer in one hand while writing this response :D and one before that, and one before that...

I like the idea of the mangrove tank myself, but i doubt the size you're planning on will be big enough for snook.

If I were to do a mangrove tank, I'd do a shallow tank with a shoal of anthias and some softies.

Go reef with that size tank!

It's a personal choice, but majority of hobbyist have reef tanks, why not be different? Mangroves with seagrasses, a few pipe fish would be very nice!

the mangrove tank 72"x36 or40" and 50" tall the extra height is air space for mangroves. so it woun't be 75g and no sword spine snook max out at 12" so they by fine i like that idea of the shallow tank.
