It took four timers to run my tank. I purchased a ACjr controller & couldn't be happier. My heater is controlled as well as fans if the temp gets to 80*. It will also turn off my lights if the tank reaches 82*.
Those last few features really let me sleep better.
I got one from home depot that was $21.00. It's digital and has two outlets (with ground-very important) and a battery back up for when the power goes out, I don't have to reset everything.
