which tunze for me.

i've decided to go tunze instead of vortech.

but my question is what and how many to go with.

i'm setting up a 50 breeder with a 20L sump and a 1260 split into two 3/4" returns, one on each back corner of the tank. i'll probably first try them(returns) so they are on a semi collision path aimed towards the front center of the tank. with a glass-holes 700gph overflow in the center.

as far as rock work i plan on a sort of minimalist approach consisting of a couple "mounds" of rocks. i may or may not interconnect them.

for inhabitants i plan on a true mixed. soft,sps,lps,zoas.....

so any advice?

oh, i have a rkl-3 now but will be upgrading to an elite. i heard rumor they may be able to control tunze's real soon. true?

if so i shouldn't need another controler, correct?

thanks

chuck

I don't know on the RK controller working on Tunzes and I think that would be for DA to confirm, and I believe they typically will not say until an official release has been made by them. If you plan to get controllables the 6055 is the pump to buy. The 6025 and 6045 needs to be ran in greater than 15 minute intervals and chatter at start up.

I agree, I also think the 6055's would have the ideal flow, the 6045's aren't enough in a 50/58 in my experience. You would need at least 3 6045's.
