I think I have settled on a Tunze for my 90 gal setup. I have a small sump but am in the process of adding chambers to it to expand it for a refugium. With my left over sump space I would like to add an insump protein skimmer.
1) I am curious which Tunze DOC skimmer would you suggest?
2) I was looking at the 9015 because it comes with the in sump kit, the 9020 seems a bit much, plus its so expensive.
3) The height on these is like 18.8 inches and I have a cabinet that is approx 23 inches of inside space. Will it be a tight fit to get that collection cup off? I have some sound proofing around the cabinet taking up some space so that could be adjusted if necessary.
4) How reliable is the estimate from tunze on tank size it says the 9015 can be used for a tank up to 396 gal, that just seems real high but Tunze is know for quality and efficiency.
5) Since this is in our living room noise is a huge issue and I am curious as to how loud these Tunzes are. For comparison I have used remoras with maxijets so I was wondering how the sound compared to them.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.
