Which turbelle and/or nano wavebox combo?

Hi,
I have a 75G RR tank with sand substrate, and am looking for suggestions on upgrading my flow in my predominantely SPS tank. Right now I have two 6055's, and my return is approximately 500 gph.

I'm not sure whether I should...

1. Add a nano wavebox to this and program my 6055's to go on and off every 15 minutes with my aquacontroller,

2. Sell the 6055's and purchase two 6105's and put those on a controller without a wavebox, or

3. Get a nano wavebox and either 1 or two 6105 and controller.

What do you think would be the best option for a tank this size. I want to be able to have lots of flow to keep the corals happy but at the same time be able to position everything so that I don't get a sandstorm. Any suggestions?

Thanks

You should add the tunze nano wavebox and keep the 2 6055. I don't know much about the aquasurf function on your aquacontroller but you don't have to run 15 mins interval. If you own the tunze 7095 i would suggest you to run on interval II because you always have flow coming out of the pump.

If your sandbed able to handle a high flow, i would suggest the 6105 but i don't want to recommend something that will lead into a sand storm... IMO, adding an wavebox to work with your 2x6055 is more than enough

Hi Steve,
I made a mistake with my original question. I actually have two non controllable 6065's, not controllable 6055's. So if I could bother you could you try again to answer my question. The 6065's can only go on and off every 15 minutes but can not be controlled. So which of the three scenarios do you think would be best suited to take care of the needs of a 75G?

Should I

stay with the non controllable 6065's and add a nano wavebox , OR

sell the 6065's and buy two controllable 6105's and no nano wavebox, or

use two controllable 6105's and a nano wavebox.

Which do you think would do the trick long term?
Thanks for your help.

I would say 2x6105 and nano wavebox. If the flow is too much, you can always turn it down a bit. You can use the same setup again later if you decide to upgrade.

Thanks, Steve
That sounds good.
I keep saying I don't want to upgrade , but we all know that just doesn't happen. :p
