White balance...

How do you adjust the white balance of a dig camera?
When I snap pics they are either too blue or too yellow.

Thanks

It's a Panasonic Lumix DMZ FC7
I know how to get to the white balance adjusting part but where or to what do I point it to, to adjust th WB?

Thanks

You can use a DSB if it is white...

You can also use a white plate, or even paper towel.... Just about anything WHITE that is illuminated by your tank lights.

OR, maybe you can shoot in RAW mode? If your camera has it, then you can adjust the WB in post.

Will WB out of adjustment cause some green coral to have a reddish tint or cause blues to look purple?
