White blotchy birdsnest

I got this guy in today. I'm new to the hobby and this is my first birdsnest, so I'm not sure if this is normal after shipping or not. Its a Sour Apple birdsnest and has a lot of white blotches on it, sorry for the bad pictures my camera was dead so this is from my phone. I emailed the company I purchased from but no reply as of yet. Any help you guys can offer would be great. I'm just worried they sent me a dying piece.

Hard to tell from the photo but could be dead areas. Observe for a few days, if algae begins to form or the white areas get bigger your frag is dying :hmm2:

Thanks that's what I was afraid of. I'll try and get better pictures later today, I'm working now. I'll also try and contact the people again.
