White bump on gill of flame angel

This weekend, I bought a small flame angel and yesterday noticed a white bump on the bottom of its gill. Today I noticed it's a little bigger. The angel is wild caught from Christmas Island and today he ate a little food. I'm assuming that since he's eating already, the white thing isn't bothering him, but it looks bad. Anyone know what it might be? The pics are the best I could get, cuz he moves too much.

That looks like lympho to me .. a viral disease which is akin to warts in humans. If its lympho then there is no medication that is effective but it often goes away on its own if you maintain good water quality and feed the fish healthy food (helps fish's immune system).

In general lympho isn't fatal (unless it gets inside the gills) and if I recall correctly is only contagious within the same species.

Hope this helps.
