White dots on my glass

Hello I am new to marine tanks and I have a 30 gallon tank with an aquaclear filter and I saw some white dots on my glass about a month ago and now they are everywhere and it looks like they are curled up worms and are taking over my tank. Are they bad and how do i get rid of them. I am trying to post a picture but it's just loading forever so if someone can take a good guess on the description it would be great. Thanks

spirobid worms, very common in new tanks, their like small feather dusters, good for your tank. Excessive amounts point to excess nutrients in your water. Again, not bad, but if you have an explosion of them at once, could be an indicator to over feeding or possibly to much light. With time you will see them get under control.

What he said. Careful not to get one stuck under your cleaning magnet, it will scratch glass/acrylic. I made this mistake. I had to keep my magnet out of the water and only put it in for cleaning...
