White eggs that turn black

First question: why do only a few posts on the breeding forum show up? One day I see a bunch and the next day only a few.

Second question: My occelaris clowns are on their third clutch. But contrary to all the pictures I have seen of clownfish eggs, mine always start as a clearish-white color, developing into black eggs that seem to get bigger, and it looks like I can see the eye patches. But the eggs are never orange. I have not been able to see any hatch, as after about day 10 they dissappear and the process restarts. Any ideas on this?

First Questions Answer: It is a property of the forum itself. It does not hold onto your setting. I've asked this one before :)

Second Questions Answer: No idea. I will guess that the eggs are in bad shape from the start and simply go downwards from there. If O's are like my tomatos the eggs should go from an orange color to a silver color (which I believe are the eyes).

landlord is right, the eggs aren't in good shape when they are laid. This typically goes back to parent nutrition in most cases. What are you feeding the parents, and how often?

On the forum question, some days have a more posts than others. At the bottom of the forum, in the bar just under the last thread, is a drop box that you can use to change how many days of threads are shown. You can change that to show more days worth of threads ;)

Thanks for the responses. The eggs do progress into the silvery stage. I feed them mysis, blood worms, enriched brine, flake and mash. However I only feed them twice a day. I'd feed more but they just dont seem to want more.

I'd up to 3 to 4 times per day and go heavy on the proportion of mysis to the other foods.
