White fuzz on live rock ?

All, I am new to the reef hobby. I started my reef tank about 4 months ago, and have been adding small coral frags. One of the pieces of live rock I picked up seems to have developed some sort of fungal growth. I have been trying to determine what this is, with no luck. I have attached an image with the area in question highlighted in red. Any comments on this would be appreciated

Sponges are good, but keep them away from air and microbubbles, which can become trapped in their tissue, release toxins, and result in death.

Great, so these are good, and not something that is going to kill everything in my tank. Thanks for the quick responses.

I've got all kinds that have popped up in my tank - purple, pink, blue, green, white, even almost black. They add nice splashes of color and are usually an indication of good water quality.
