White fuzz

For some reason this acro has something nasty on it. It's hard to remove because the plug has encrusted to the rock.

What is this crud?

Sorry I can't tell from your picture exactly what you are referring too. Maybe you are referring to a tunicate or barnacle? Both are harmless ime. Try a google search on tunicates and see if that is what you are seeing.

It's not either of those. It looks like white cyano on at acro. I will try to get a better picture.

I tried to get a better picture but it's so tiny it's impossible to see. The best description I have is it looks like a thin layer of white cyanobacteria? It is only on this one Acro

I noticed something like this on a Blue Stag, then realized it was covered in red bugs. :-X
