White marks on clown

Hi,

24 hours ago,I noticed a white smudge on one of my clownfish (tank-bred perculas).
Now, there is a second mark just at the base of one of her fins.

Her mate, has a small white dot on his side, again, appeared yesterday, but no other marks.

Both fish are acting normally, eating well and appear otherwise perfectly healthy.

I last introduced a fish on 6th October, and everyone has been fine since. All other fish (9 of them) appear to be fine.

I would appreciate any help with ID and suggestions of actions to take or things to monitor

I purchased them on 25th Jan this year. They were babies, raised from a local college, but purchased from my LFS.

They were quarantined on their own for 2 weeks under observation and then added to my display, which at the time consisted of only a midas blenny. They have been perfectly healthy since day one.

Is there, perhaps, a new anemone introduced into the tank? Anything else wet recently introduced?

No anemone, I have an RBTA but they don't go near it, they sleep in one corner, either at the top or the bottom depending on the time of night.

Last items added were 3 SPS colonies on the 22nd Nov, these were dipped in coralRX for about 10 minutes. A conch on 15th November and a yellow stag SPS on 8th Nov, again dipped in CoralRX.

I assume there was no water transfer for the SPS, etc (from their source) as there was a CoralRX dip? If true, I can see no reason why a parasite could have been introduced into the tank. Keep a watch on them and if it spreads, check back and I will try to look for this thread.

That's correct, I always do my best to avoid any LFS water from getting into the tank. The SPS were rinsed off in a container of my own tank water before entering the display.

As you suggested, I will keep an eye on them and report back if necessary.

Thanks for your quick response Steve

Cheers

Lee
