White oval patch on my powder brown

I have a powder brown tang who seems healthy, eating, swimming around ok. But this morning there was a white patch on his one side that does not look good. He is not bleeding or scratching it at all. Anyone know what it could be? Thanks

ive got a few on my blue hippo today and my kole tang. seems to not be bothering them. keep an eye of they are still eating and such

See if it goes away in a day, my blue hippos get them from time to time i believe for trying to fit in small caves in the rock work and scraping itself.

It seems like it is actually alot better this evening. He has been eating like a horse since I got him and has not slowed down. Thanks for the info.

My sailfin had the same problem, it was gone in the morning. It is kind of scary to see, but there was absolutely nothing wrong/different besides the discoloration.
