White particles in Display Tank Help

Hi all, so my tank's been up a little over a month. I believe its going through the initial diatom stage (Browning on the sand, brown algae on the rocks). In the last few days ive noticed white particles floating all over my tank. They're not sand, air bubbles or lifeforms. Just wondering if this was normal? I have dosed a few times BRS's sodium bicarbonate and calcium in the past week, dont know if precipitation is the cause. I also plumb my return to a chiller and into my display, not sure if things are just settling in my chiller and then getting blown through (seems to be more particles when chiller kicks on). Appreciate it if anyone has a clue, thanks again.

Definitely don't does yet. Not necessary. I assume you have no corals yet. Is the chiller pump running 24/7? If not, it should be. The dosing is probably what's causing the issue. You should be testing. Your levels are probably elevated. Let the system stabilize.

I have a similar issue on a tank that's been running for years. Recently white stuff floating all over the top. Only corals I have are some leathers and colts.. I don't dose anything. I think it's coming from the leathers.
