white sand?

anyone know where I can get white aragonite sand locally or online for a decent price?
upgrading my 180 to a 300g soon and I remember when I setup my 180g 7 years ago southdown was available and I simply picked up a few 50lb bags for like $4 which is still doing great in my tank. too bad you cant get them anymore. anyone have any suggestions?

Anyone use the white play sand sold in kmart? quick search result showed others have used it with no problem and that its supposed to be the same as oldcassle. 40lb for less then $5!

Says right on the label "do not use for aquariums"

The most cost effective sand I found is the large bag of dry CaribSea special grade. Think it was around $30 for 40lb bag

hey Username, yeah i saw that and it said it before for the oldcastle bags as well. from what I have read they write that mostly for the freshwater tanks bc of the ph.
I was actually looking at caribsea and it seems to go for about $1 a lb. I would need enough for a 300g. If I have to go that route I will, but it be nice to be able to spend the money on some new equipment instead if possible lol.

Marco will cost you about $218 shipped for 280 pounds......and sometimes they run specials. That's where I purchased my sand and if my memory serves me correctly....it was on sale or discounted.
