white slime

The slime sticks to the glass and the pumps I have white slime on both of my tanks. One is a 120 mixed reef and the other is a 33 gallon tank. What they both have in common is I make my own RO/DI water and I also make my own saltwater. I make my water in the backyard it gets hot here water gets to about 90 degrees and I then I bring it inside and let it cool off for a couple of days.
Any thoughts or suggestions will be appreciated.

The only things that both tanks have in common is Oceanpure Pro Salt and Salifert Natural Iodine. The larger tank I have a Deltec Nitrate reactor Vodka based but not on the smaller tank, I just noticed this on the small tank but the larger tank for about 2 weeks. No bio pellets. I just finished the Ocean Pure Pro and I bought Red Sea Coral Pro Salt but I have not added it to my tanks as of yet. The white slime is maybe about 3 weeks old.

If this slime is a bacteria, increasing water temperatures will increase bacterial growth rates. You need a food source (carbon source) to increase the bacterial populations along with increase temperatures. Perhaps your salt mix has added organics, like vitamins and/or amino acids?

The large tank the temp has been stable not going over 80 deg but that one has the vodka nitrate reactor. The little tank temp was 85 prior to putting a small clip on fan it. What would be a good way to rid the tanks of it? Thanks again for all the help.

Siphon and scrub it out of your tank. If you are dosing carbon sources like vodka then stop dosing until you get control of this pest. After that you would want to cut back on the vodka dosing.

Try to keep the tank temperature below 82 degrees F.

You may want to cut back on the amount of food you feed.

Thanks again So far I have shutoff my dosing, opened my windows and cleaned if off the glass and the pumps so far it is not on the rocks.

Yeah for the big tank. But the other tank no dosing at all, it is a mystery. The small tank I will cut down on feeding, current is pretty good in there. Not as bad as the big tank it just started.
