White Spot is this a cause?

I have had an outbreak of whitespot in my aquarium. The only fish that seem to show signs of it are an Naso Tank and Regal Tang. The other fish Grouper, Mandarin. common clownsx2, bluethroat trigger, Cromisx 12 all seem fine. None of the fish are flicking against rocks and seem unaffected by it?
To remove the fish is almost impossible without stripping the whole tank. What do all you guys do in this case? Would you really strip the tank down to get the fish out?
I was watching a DVD tonight on reef aquariums and some where really big. On one of them they said that they had a power cut and the temperature dropped 10 degrees and then they got an outbreak of whitespot. Is that possible as I thought that the whitespot was NOT always in the system and was put there by us?
So many questions here I am so trying to learn ;)

This is a pic of my tank which will explain why I don`t really want to strip it down. Thanks in advance.

Unless you want to trap them, which may be over a few weeks, the only way to get white spot out of your system is to take out all the fish. Than treat them in a seperate tank and leave the tank fallow (no fish) for atleast 6 weeks. There are only two proven methods to cure. Copper, and Hypo salinity. There is plenty of stickies on top to explain in detail how and which would be best for you. My advice would be first off, a QT doesn't have to be a tank. It's anything large enough to house your fish and anything that can hold water. Secondly, It sucks that you have to basicly break your tank down completely, consider it a revamp or spring cleaning. Take the time your fish are in QT to make improvements on your display tank. Although, don't add anything to the DS. Parasites can't feed on inverts but they can hitch a ride on anything wet.
