white spot that doesn't go away

I've had a kole tang in qt for 5-6 weeks now. The first 3 weeks were uneventful until I noticed a white speck on her body and 1 on a fin. I added cupramine to a concentration of .35 tested with a seachem kit. The spot on the fin is basically unchanged after 3 weeks of copper treatment. Its just one spot on a lower fin.

My question is what would do that and how do i proceed?

Since my eyes are no longer what they used to be, would you describe the white spot as "lumpy" or cauliflower appearing?

it's hard to tell what it is, even though it looks like an ich spot. however, it's definitely not ich as it would've fallen off in one week. i would keep him in there for another two weeks and keep observing.

I agree with everyone above. Really hard to tell; but I think its to big to be ich. If this doesn't disappear in a couple weeks, I'd be tempted to scrape it off with a fingernail and dab the spot with iodine; keeping it outside of the tank. There are a zillion isopod-type parasites and this could possibly (an admitted guess) be one.

There used to be 2 of them but 1 disappeared. I would think copper would kill most isopods but I don't really have any idea. This is the first fish disease I've really dealt with.

This may not be anything more than just a "pimple" or some abnormal growth. If this hasn't changed, (IMO), its nothing to worry about.

Today I pulled it off with tweezers. I am going to remove the copper in a few days. A week of recovery after that and into the display she goes. I still dont know what it was

This looks exactly like what my fish had before except the spots were more numerous. I would keep an eye on its appetite as my fish lost appetite after the spots.

I would like to know if removing the spots will work!
