PP, have you seen the black and white morphs of the dogfaced puffers? One of our LFS has gotten several in recently, they are sweet looking - very tempting. They run $75-$100 around here for a 6-8" (both stores that carry them regularly around here are a bit pricey). I think the dogface is a better fit for your 75 just because the stars and stripes gets so big so fast, he could outgrow the 75 in a year to 18 months. You could also do a golden, a panda, a guinea fowl, a porky, a spiny box (not as hardy as porkys), or even a Toby. I have a Canthigaster Epilamprus and they are great fish. What he lacks in size he makes up for in personality and they can be kept with a variety of fish and coral. He leaves pretty much everything alone except I believe he killed a good sized arrow crab a while back. I found the crab one morning with his belly ripped open. He could have died and the puffer then started eating him or the puffer might have decided he wanted to taste him? Anyways, let us know what you end up with.
