Sorry for the bad picture but this is about the closest I can possibly take,

the sps has been in the QT for about 1 week prior to adding to the tank I dipped in bayer,

At first after dipping and adding to the tank I thought it was just their slime coat or something, After the first week a few more appeared. I dont know what it is or if it bothers the coral or not!

EDIT: I believe they are called zanclea hydroids, Again The same batch of sps I bought had Acro spiders... 2 pest in one batch!

I warn you, If you buy anything from A.S.D I would highly suggest in dipping and QT.

Yep hydroids had them on a piece before... Harmless. Seemed to get more for a while.. Now I think they are gone. Didn't do anything.

Yes, those are zanclea hydroids. I heard they were harmless, but they destroyed an a. exquisita of mine. The frag started to entrust on the rock and the main branch had a bunch of these on it, so much so, that it started to rtn. I snapped the branch off and the only piece left was the new part that encrusted on the LR and has been growing ever since without any of these guys left behind. Hopefully yours will be okay?
