White stringy slime in new tank

Set up my 130 with sump 2 weeks ago. Switching over my 55 gallon sumpless with 100lbs of live rock and corals.
The only thing in my 130 DT is 90lbs of BRS Eco Saver Rock. This rock was purchased a couple months ago and was put in a bucket of SW mixed using RO/DI water from a brand new 5 stage plus unit from BRS as well. Circulation in the bucket was with 2 Koralia 1050 ...one breaking the surface of the water.
I know they say the Eco Rock does not have the dead material of the Pukani rock or other dry reef rock....but thought I would cook it for a month or so anyway.

Sump is small...40 gallon with Reef Octopus 200 skimmer installed on Friday(skimmer is brand new and is just starting to break in) and running carbon. Overflow is 1200 gallon per hour with Mag 18 return dialed back just a tad. Again all water is RO/DI rock has been in display since last weekend. Nothing else in the DT...bare bottom as well.

Here is what I am thinking. While setting up.... the display tank and sump were washed with a high concentration of vinegar and water. I was at work and asked my wife to rinse the tank and sump out. Came home and assumed she had. Turns out she only wiped it dry without rinsing.

Salinity - 1.025
PH is within range
Calcium within range
PO4 - 0 - 0.1
Ammonia - .50
Nitrate - 0

Could the residual vinegar have caused the white slimey bacteria outbreak?

Thanks

Thanks for the response Randy. Yes it does sound right if the vinegar thing is not the issue. I was told that the eco saver rock does not leach....but the slime is strung all over it. Should I just continue heavy skimming and carbon ? I have done a 10% water change but not sure if I should just let it die off. There are no other nutrients in the tank aside what is leaching from the rock.
thanks

Running your skimmer wet can't hurt. Try a 20% water change. I increased my aeration of my Tunzes and that helpled when I had a bacterial bloom.
IF you have a UV sterilizer, maybe that could help.

Good idea. My skimmer is new and started to foam this afternoon. What do you mean increasing aeration of your Tunzes...do you mean your skimmer or your flow pumps ?

Thanks
