White Stripe Maroon W/infected under-bite.

This is a special case. My clown fish always had an under-bite, probably from early trauma. The bottom lip seems to have a fungus like growth on it. I thought it would heal, but its been over a week and its getting worse. Another thing that's bothering me, his right cheek is swelling. I wish somebody could give me advice on how to treat him. Happy Holidays!

I would probably QT and treat with an antibiotic, such as Furan-2 or Maracyn 1/2.

Satana, the Maroon Clown you see below my name that my wife won't let me get rid of, always has a "white mouth" due to her constantly spitting sand/moving shells everywhere. Does your clown do this too? Might be what's aggravating the mouth injury.

Nice name for your fish. I named mine Scarface, however my 2 year old son insist his name is " Nemo". What a unique ID.

I noticed that behavior, he would pick at the rubble at times. That has to be the source of the infection. I'm afraid to use any chemicals to cure this, but it's getting worse. Today, the lump on his cheek has increased in size. The lump resembles a pimple and now has a white dot in the center.

Well, the good news is if it's just an infection then it shouldn't spread to any of your other fish. The bad news is if it's getting worse then your clown probably needs antibiotics to make a full recovery. Personally, I wouldn't take any chances. I'd QT him away from all your other fish and probably treat with Furan-2.
