White stuff on surface intake? Eggs?

Hi all,

I found these white sachs growing on the intake of my reef octopus hang on back protein skimmer. No idea what it is, but it's a bit disgusting lol. I didn't see it anywhere else on my tank. Any idea?

I've never seem this before. I bought some chaeto and noticed to new hitch hikers in my aquarium even after a 15 minute RO water dip - micro brittle stars and common bristle worms. I was a bit disappointed, but I'm beginning to appreciate these creatures.

Thanks

Hard to tell with the pics, but given their location, they're most likely filter feeders, like sponges or tunicates. Obviously, you don't want them clogging up your plumbing, but otherwise they are good for your tank. Nature's filters.
