White stuff on yellow tang

I picked up this yellow tank at a LFS and after 2 weeks in quarrantine he developed this white stuff on his tail fin. Any idea what it might be? Thought it might be ich at first but 2 more weeks and the size or amount really hasn't changed. He eats normal and acts normal!

It could be Lymphocystis.

Lymphocystis
No known cure if it is Lymphocystis, but Iââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ve known the Neon Blue Goby (Elacatinus oceanops) to actually eat it off of some fishes. Remove as much stress from fish as you can. Improve nutrition. Read this post regarding nutrition:

Make sure to add beta glucan to its foods while recoverying.
