Im just hyped right now because I have been waiting on this fish for such a long time and I just placed my order for one from ny aquatics. I have no doubt that this fish will come in healthy as I have heard nothing but good things about ny aquatics. Anyway, pictures will definitely be provided when I receive this beaut.

This one is going to be in a 20L QT for a few weeks and hopefully I will have my upgraded tank set up and running by then. Still torn between 75 or 90 but I am planning to order one very soon for those of you worried about a tang in a 55. I believe this fish is still available at ny aquatics.

I also ordered one a few days ago that will ship sometime this coming week. I'm really crossing my fingers that the fish comes in healthy and does well since it's the one replacement of a loss of a fish from a few months ago. I have read nothing but great things about ny aquatics so I expect nothing but a healthy fish. Luckily I live only 2 hours away from them so the fish shouldn't be in transport for too long. But I am a bit concerned because the fish is going to be in the box for many hours until I get home from work as I work 2 hours from home. When I get shipping info, I am going to try to arrange someone to come to my house and acclimate it into qt for me. Fingers crossed!

+1 on this & is there anyway to make it so you can be home for the delivery? Rearrange the date maybe? Not being there might void your doa guarantee. Good luck - I want one too:fun2:

Someone will be home tomorrow and is expecting delivery. I arranged a local fish maintenance guy to come after it is delivered to acclimate it and make sure it goes smoothly into QT. I'm just psyched to get home from work and see it. Will post pics if I can get some without disturbing it

I'm curious to follow along. I think we are finally ready to take the plunge into getting some new fish and this one is on my short list for a possible tang along with a Powder Blue or a Whitecheek.

Can anyone recommend which of these three might be the hardiest? We had a Kole Yellow Eye that we are pretty sure brought in ich and really decimated our tank. My wife is extremely reluctant about tangs in general now.

Hmm... The pic I saw on Live Aquaria shows it to be much more red and less purple. I'm not sure if I like the purple coloration of the one in your pic better or less?

The tang is currently in QT but I don't want to take any pictures as it needs time to settle in. It's been in there since 11am. I peeked in and saw it and it is red like the picture on LA. I will take a few pictures tomorrow hopefully.

thinking about ordering one of these guys but curious from you guys that have them how are their temperments? I only have a couple dartfish, blenny, and dragonet in my tank now and wanted this guy to be the last to go in but with how hard they are to get i'm thinking about biting the bullet and getting him now, then when i'm able i'll add probably a radiant wrasse, a couple clowns, and maybe a yashi goby or something along those lines. Do you guys think the tang would be ok with me adding these guys after he's been into the tank or do you think he'll turn into a nightmare trying to add fish later?

Congrats on the new tangs... If I hadn't just blown the budget on a lighting upgrade I would be joining in with one of my own. I have been on the alert list for one of these via LA for quite some time but to no avail.
