White tail bristletooth tang price?

My lfs has a 3" white tail bristletooth tang for $132, is that a good deal? The fish is eating frozen food.

$132 is fair market price. They can be as low as $75 and as high as $200. Typically, I've seen $120-150 in a retail setting. It's one of my favorite fish. I'd pick it up if I were you, you'll enjoy it.

If that's a bit much to spend check out the 2 spot bristle tooth tang. Close to the white tail and much cheaper. I love mine

Well I personally think white tails are much prettier. It's all personal preference.

$132 is fair, especially since it's eating. It took my brother and I 3-4 months to get (now) my white tail to eat, after we added selcon it would nibble but because it was so skittish it took forever for it to eat anything substantial while we were in the room.

I looked at one point. The only place that had them in stock ANYWHERE was NY Aquatics. I want to say it was like $225. Seems like they don't come up for sale much. I'd grab it! Heck, even Mr. Saltwater Tank bragged in one of his videos about how he was able to finally grab one.

I also noticed the fish at the LFS to be really skittish, it was definitely eating the food but it wouldn't come out of his cave unless we stepped back a bit.

They are super skittish to any movement around the tank. Takes time for them to settle in and even then they are still pretty skittish. They are very active swimmers.

Mine is no longer skittish, very happy to say. Good luck, hopefully you end up liking it as much as I like mine!
